Terms of Service

l8r.shop is two things: a free service for shoppers to save products they find in-store (by scanning a QR code or taking a photo) and get reminded about them later, and a free service for retailers to list a catalog, generate QR codes, and see demand analytics for their products.

Both are free today. We may introduce paid plans for retailers in the future — if we do, we'll tell you before anything you're using starts costing money, and you can stop using the paid feature instead of paying.

Shoppers and retailers sign in with a magic link sent to their email — there's no password to create or lose. One account per email address; a retailer account is tied to the contact email on file for that store.

You're responsible for keeping access to your own email. We can suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse the service, violate these terms, or violate the law.

• Saving a product isn't a reservation, a price lock, or a guarantee it's still in stock — it's a note to yourself, nothing more.
• Product names, prices, and images come from the retailer. We don't independently verify them, and they can be wrong or out of date by the time you go back.
• You'll get a reminder about a saved product regardless of whether you share your contact info with the retailer — sharing is a separate choice that only controls what the retailer can see about you. See the Privacy Policy for how that works.
• You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.

• Connecting your catalog (via Shopify, Instagram, or entering products manually) grants l8r.shop a license to display that content — names, images, prices, and any photos you connect — to shoppers using the service, and to process those images for product matching.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of your catalog and for having the rights to any content you connect, including photos synced from Instagram or entered manually. Don't connect content you don't have the right to use.
• QR codes and other export assets we generate are for use promoting your own store's products — not for resale or use promoting a different business.
• You can disconnect Shopify at any time from your Shopify admin. For Instagram or full account removal, email hello@l8r.shop.

Regardless of whether you're a shopper or a retailer, don't:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from l8r.shop by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
• Probe, abuse, or attempt to overload the scan, save, or API endpoints.
• Misrepresent who you are, impersonate someone else, or misrepresent a product or store.
• Use the service to violate any law, or any other party's rights.

l8r.shop owns the service itself — the software, the matching technology, and the l8r.shop name and branding. Retailers own their own catalog content and keep whatever rights they had in it before connecting it to l8r.shop; connecting it only grants us the license described above. What a shopper saves, scans, or ignores is governed by the Privacy Policy, not this section.

l8r.shop is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. In particular: our product-matching technology is probabilistic — it compares images and can and will sometimes match the wrong product, or fail to match a real one. We don't warrant that matches, scans, or reminders will always be accurate or available.

To the extent the law allows, l8r.shop won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for most users today, is $0).

We may update these terms as the service changes. If we make a material change, we'll note it on this page and, where we have your email, let you know. Continuing to use l8r.shop after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of l8r.shop will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
